Golf Fitness and Performance
Looking to add 10-20 yards to your drive, someone who pops ibuprofen during your round of golf because of the pain, or someone who loves the game but is not sure if they will be able to play this year because of pending surgery or persistent pain? Your golf game may not be suffering because of your swing mechanics, but rather because of stability and mobility limitations in areas such as your upper back, hips, and shoulders. Dr. Ryan is certified through the Titleist Performance Institute as a golf-fitness professional. The Titleist Performance Institute is the leading educational organization that highlights how the human body relates to the golf swing. The Titleist Performance Institute teaches that there are a million different ways to swing a club, but there is only ONE efficient way for each individual to swing based on the player’s physical/health status.
“The most efficient swing is not the same for every golfer, because efficiency is unique to their body. To achieve an efficient swing, a golfer must first be screened. This screen involves an assessment of swing mechanics and biomechanics, physical fitness, movement quality, current health and client history.”

Pickleball Performance
Pickleball is becoming more and more common but so are the injuries related to this sport. The last thing an avid pickleball player wants to hear is the need to play less or not play at all. The key to most of these injuries is to address them early and often. Like any other sport, having an appropriate training program not only reduces the risk of injury but will also increase performance level. Dr. Ryan is a recreational pickleball player and understands the desire to stay healthy so you can keep playing!
