Manual Therapy & Dry Needling

Manual Therapy

Resilience PT & Performance offers a variety of manual therapy techniques in attempt to improve range of motion and reduce the intensity of symptoms. It is important to note that manual therapy is very effective in reducing pain, but is best used in conjunction with a form of resistance/movement training. Common manual therapy techniques utilized include: instrument-assisted soft tissue massage (GRASTON), cupping, joint mobilizations and manipulations, and dry needling.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a common technique used at Resilience PT & Performance. Dry needling is the practice of taking a thin filament needle and inserting it into the myofascial trigger points (muscle knots). This action then facilitates a twitch response of the muscle which will work to decrease your pain, improve range of motion, and improve function of the muscle.
